Privacy Policy

Who we are

JQQ Marketing ("we", "us") is a website design business based in Monterey Park, California. You can reach us at hao@jqqmarketing.com or (626) 899-7172.

What we collect

  • Contact details you send us: your name, email address, phone number, and business details, submitted through our audit form or by email, text, or call.
  • Business content you share for your project: photos, logos, hours, addresses, product lists, and prices.
  • Order information when you buy a package through our store, processed by Shopify. Payment card details are handled by Shopify's checkout and are never stored by us.
  • Basic technical data your browser sends when visiting this site, such as pages viewed and approximate location, used to keep the site running.

How we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and prepare a free audit or quote.
  • To design, build, launch, and maintain your website.
  • To fulfil and support orders placed through our store.
  • To send project updates and invoices. We do not sell your information.

Who we share it with

We share only what is necessary with the service providers that run our business: Shopify (store and checkout), our website hosting provider, and email and phone providers. Where your project needs an account with a third party — a domain registrar, a payment processor, or Google Business Profile — you create that account in your own name and enter your own banking and identity details directly with that provider. We never collect or store your bank account, card, or tax identification details.

Keeping and deleting information

We keep project files and correspondence for as long as we work together, plus a reasonable period afterwards for records and tax purposes. You can ask us to delete your information or hand over your project files at any time by emailing hao@jqqmarketing.com, and we will action it within 30 days unless we are required to retain something by law.

Your choices

You may ask us what information we hold about you, request corrections, request deletion, or ask us to stop contacting you. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act or the GDPR; contact us and we will honour applicable requests.

Cookies

This site uses only the cookies and local storage needed to make it work — for example, remembering the contents of your shopping cart. Shopify may set its own cookies during checkout under its own policy.

Terms of Service

Scope of work

Each project starts with a written summary of what is included — the number of pages, features, and any monthly services. Work outside that summary is quoted separately before it begins.

Fees and billing

  • Setup fees are charged before work begins and are listed on our pricing page.
  • Monthly fees cover hosting, maintenance, updates, and support, and are billed each month until cancelled.
  • Third-party costs — your domain registration, payment processing fees, paid apps, or stock photography — are paid by you, directly to those providers.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for providing accurate business information and for having the right to use any content, photos, logos, or trademarks you send us. You confirm that your business and the products or services you sell are lawful.

Ownership

Your domain, your payment accounts, your content, and your photos remain yours at all times. On completion of payment, the website design and content produced for you is yours to keep. On monthly plans, if you cancel, we will provide your site files and assist with a transfer to a host of your choice. We may show your finished website in our portfolio unless you ask us not to.

Cancellation

Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time with notice before your next billing date. Cancellation stops future charges; fees already paid for the current period are not prorated. Hosting and maintenance end when the plan ends.

What we do not promise

We build sites that follow current search-engine best practices, but no one can guarantee a specific ranking on Google, a specific number of visitors, or a specific increase in revenue. Third-party platforms may change their rules, pricing, or availability at any time. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to a project is limited to the fees you paid us for that project in the preceding twelve months.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of Los Angeles County, California.

Refund Policy

Website packages

Our packages are custom services rather than shippable goods. If you change your mind before we begin design work, email us within 7 days of purchase and we will refund the setup fee in full. Once design work has started, we refund the portion of the setup fee for work not yet performed.

Monthly plans

You can cancel a monthly plan at any time and you will not be charged again. The current month is not refunded, and your site stays live through the end of the period you have paid for.

How to request a refund

Email hao@jqqmarketing.com or call (626) 899-7172 with your order details. We respond within two business days, and approved refunds are returned to the original payment method, typically within 5–10 business days.

Third-party costs

Domain registrations, payment processing fees, and paid third-party apps are non-refundable once purchased, because those charges are made by the provider rather than by us.
